RYE ALE WITH UBC WET HOPS
We used wet hops from UBC Farms. Rye adds a bite that balances the earthiness from the wet hops.
Alcohol Content: 4.3 ABV
Bitterness: 60 IBU
INGREDIENTS - 10 GAL.
10lbs Rye Malt
3lbs Wheat Malt
3lbs Caramel/Crystal Malt - 30L
1oz Centennial - Boil 60 minutes
1oz Chinook - Boil 60 minutes
0.5oz Centennial - Boil 15 minutes
0.5oz Chinook - Boil 15 minutes
3oz Wet Cascade - Boil 5minutes
1pkg S-05
MASH STEPS.
Mash: 66°C, 60 minutes
Add Rice Hull (1:4) to the mash tun to help filtration of the Rye.
