International Women's Day - Beyond The Binary Brew
For International Women's Day 2022, Faculty collaborated with local breweries Slow Hand, 33 Acres and Electric Bicycle to make a new ESB beer. Titled "Beyond the Binary", this beer will be canned and served at Faculty in order to celebrate trans, non-binary, otherwise gender non-conforming, and cisgender women alike.
Like many, the beer industry is largely cis-male dominated, and today, we’re celebrating the rest of us by bringing women and all other gender intersectionalities together on this brew.
Since 1914, the world has celebrated International Women's Day with events to recognise achievements and work towards the end of gender discriminations. This year, we’re doing our best to be as inclusive as possible because today is not just a salute to cisgender women but to all women.
